Sam's Booklet Contribution

Sam's Contributions to the Booklet

Sketches (Screenshots of showing my skills)

One of the things that I have done for the last few weeks is that we have used a whiteboard for our group and I went into trying out different animation styles including modern day animation, anime, pop cutesy, chibi style, humanistic, detailed shots and everything else in between. With my progress that I will use as a starting point to help when I am doing some storyboards for the prototype presentation for the following week but I and Dillon will get to making storyboards and enough between us to get them done.
(An image of our group formation and planning out on the first day)

(looking at the different designs and media sources for animation styles for our chosen media (which was unknown at the time)

(one more close up of the up)

(A mix and match of different animation styles that can help decide the style we are trying to go for and test out for the different forms of media we may choose)

( Testing the design of something recent being the Sonic Redesign (mine being the one with the shrugging arms) and from some from the other group members)
(this was a large work in progress but someone did not read my do not erase sign as it was gone when I came back a few days later)

(mainly the more weirder side of animation style more then anything)

(A little bit of positivity that I try to everyone every day and this was no exception)

sketch concept

So as Dillon mentioned himself and I have assigned ourselves into the category of the Visual aesthetic and it is through this that we can show two different aspects to the spectrum and show off each of our own unique styles of drawing skills and so I went off and do a design basing it on the story arc of the first six sectors of the story we have crafted.
(while I could do it in pen I would rather do it in pencil first and then go over in pen when I had the time but here is the design of the first 6 sections of the comic itself)

Location Photos

Being that our story is about two different peoples perspectives going through college then we knew that we had to have to set it in our own college but not make it out like it is (I think) so we went to get some photos for the starting part of the front entrance and of our main character Harry (who is a striking similar look to me)

Mood Boards and Colour Palettes

  1. Stress Colour
For the first option of colour palette in this concept is that it is a shade of a darker colour and that is the colour Palette of Stress

Happiness
On the flip side of the coin we have the colour Palette of calming and peaceful colour that go for very high bright colors to help bring the positive mood that comes from the setting in this Comic story.

  1. Work
So In terms of this being a comic on college in two different perspectives it is important to focus as well on a colour palette that can very In dulcet tone colour when it comes to creating something through honest work.

Love
For the last of the main versions of colour Palettes is that I came across this while I was looking through the story arc that I thought that for some sense that their cold be a spark of love between the two characters and the spark of love of them following their dreams and that is where  I found the colour palette for them
